Treasuring Our Trees
We’re dedicated to turning our fallen trees into something positive for our community
The storms of June 2021 were a traumatic period for Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges residents, with approximately 25,000 trees falling. We saw an incredible chance to turn this sadness into a positive.
An inspiring volunteer-led community project was born, using many of the fallen log woods to create;
Sustainable garden projects • Indoor furniture for schools • Sports equipment • Imaginative play spaces • Adventure trails • Bush cubby houses • Outdoor yarning/teaching circles • Veggie gardens • Erosion control • Bush tucker gardens • Fairy houses
…and much more.
We need your help to grow this project, which will benefit our community into the future.
